When we read and study scripture we should keep two words in mind: Exegesis and Eisegesis.
Exegesis is drawing out a text's meaning in accordance with the author's context and discoverable meaning.
Whereas Eisegesis is the process of interpreting text in such a way as to introduce one's own presuppositions, agendas, or biases. It is commonly referred to as reading into the text.
The "Exegesis Over Eisegesis" pin is a reminder to us to always remember to bring out the intended meaning of the text as communicated by the author. This allows us to better understand God's Word and live lives that glorify God.

I bought this as a birthday present for my husband, who is an avid hat/cap collector/wearer. He has never had this style of cap before, and he was very very impressed. He loves it, so much that he purposely wears clothes in order to wear the cap... ALL THE TIME. Can't recommend it enough. I initially purchased one book to see if our team wanted to use it. I initially thought it was pricy because of a confusion. Once the team saw the book they wanted the youth to have them. So I ended up ordering them for our group. The price was really good. We're a small ministry and we do conferences for missionary kids. They will love it as much as we do.
