The "Exegesis over Eisegesis" is designed to both act as a reminder to ourselves and help start conversations with others.
First, to remind ourselves of the importance of understanding the culture, context, and purpose of the passage we are reading. As well as to ensure we don't read ourselves into the text to make it about us.
Secondly, to help start productive Gospel-centered conversations about the importance of understanding and reading scripture in the way it was meant to be understood. In doing so we are able to understand not only what the text meant to its original readers, but also how it applies to us now as believers in our context.
The stickers are 3" x 1.97" and are die-cut to stick out on whatever surface you place them on.

As a lead pastor, I am always looking for ways to not only judge my self, but for my congregation to judge my sermons. This tool has been great to help others understand what an effective sermon should look like. I am excited to see the fruit from this in the future.
We love this booklet. I especially appreciate the fact that my kids can color while I read. They enjoy doing and listening and this booklet allows them to do both.
