Overview

Spell With Speagle ("the App") is a spelling practice app designed for children, used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Information We Collect

The App collects and stores the following, entered by a parent or guardian:

• Child profile names
• Weekly spelling word lists and optional hints
• Practice and test results (scores, dates, which words were missed)
• Reward and prize settings configured by the parent

The App does not collect: email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, payment information, or any information from advertising or analytics services, because the App uses none.

How Your Information Is Stored

All data is stored using Apple's CloudKit, within your family's own private iCloud account. This means:

• Your data is stored on Apple's servers under your own Apple ID, not on any server operated by us
• We, the developer, do not have access to your data — it is never transmitted to us or to any third party
• Data syncs automatically between your own devices signed into the same iCloud account
• If you delete the App or your child's profile, that data is removed the same way any of your other iCloud data is

Camera and Photos

The App can optionally use your device's camera to let a parent import a spelling list by taking a photo of a handwritten or printed list. Any photo taken this way is processed on your device only, to read the words into the App; it is not uploaded, stored, or shared anywhere.

Face ID

If you choose to enable Face ID as a PIN-reset option in Settings, the App uses Apple's standard Face ID system to confirm it's you. Your facial data is handled entirely by Apple's Face ID system (stored securely on your device's Secure Enclave) — the App itself never receives or stores any biometric data, only a yes/no confirmation from the system.

Parent PIN

The 4-digit PIN used to protect the "Grown-ups" area is stored securely in your device's Keychain. It stays local to that device and is never transmitted anywhere, including to us.

Children's Privacy

This App is intended for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who sets it up and controls all settings. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information directly from children, does not include any way for a child to communicate with us or with other users, and contains no advertising.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service the App uses is Apple's CloudKit, for the iCloud storage and sync described above. The App does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or any other third-party SDKs.

Data Deletion

Because all data lives in your own iCloud account, you can delete it at any time by deleting a child's profile within the App, or by deleting the App itself (which removes its local data; iCloud data can also be managed from your device's iCloud storage settings).

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new "Last Updated" date.
